Privacy Policy

Pivit is built to keep browsing content private while being honest about the limited diagnostic, usage, and purchase data needed to operate and improve the app.

1. What stays on your device

Your browsing history, bookmarks, open tabs, downloaded files, locally saved media, passwords or vault content, and userscript source are stored on your device unless you choose a feature that moves supported data elsewhere, such as iCloud sync or local Wi‑Fi transfer.

Pivit does not send visited URLs, host names, search terms, page titles, page content, form content, download file names, local file paths, clipboard content, or userscript source to Pivit analytics. Private Browsing activity is excluded from Pivit usage analytics.

2. Data Pivit collects

Usage and device identifier

Pivit creates a random identifier for the app installation and may send it with coarse product-interaction events such as app launch, onboarding completion, feature settings, page-load outcome category, tab-count range, and download type or size range. We use this data to understand reliability and improve product features. It is not used for advertising or cross-company tracking.

Diagnostics

Crash and diagnostic reports can include stack traces, app and build version, device and operating-system information, locale, coarse app state, error categories, and the random installation identifier. We do not intentionally attach browsing URLs, search terms, page content, or file names.

Purchases

If you buy Pivit Pro, Apple processes payment information. Pivit does not receive your card number. To activate and restore access, Pivit may process signed StoreKit transaction data, product identifier, entitlement status, expiration or revocation time, and a random app account token. This information is used only to provide purchases, prevent fraud, and support refunds or restoration.

3. Service providers

Pivit uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, services provided by Google, for the limited analytics and diagnostics described above. These providers process data on our behalf under their applicable data-protection terms. Pivit does not include an ad network and does not sell personal data.

Apple provides App Store, StoreKit, iCloud/CloudKit, and device services under Apple’s own privacy policies. Data collected directly by Apple is governed by Apple. Pivit processes only the information needed to deliver the feature you select.

4. iCloud and local-network features

If you enable iCloud sync, supported Pivit data is stored in the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account. You can turn sync off and manage iCloud data through Apple’s settings.

Local Wi‑Fi transfer and device discovery operate on your local network after system permission. Files are transferred only when you start the feature. Pivit does not use local-network access for advertising or tracking.

5. Media, web content, and userscripts

Web pages communicate directly with the services you choose to visit and may apply their own cookies and privacy practices. Pivit’s content blocker can reduce some third-party requests, but no blocker can guarantee that every tracker will be stopped.

Media and files you save remain on your device unless you explicitly transfer them. Userscripts can read or modify pages where you allow them to run; review a script and its source before installing it. Script authors and visited websites have their own privacy practices.

6. Retention, security, and choices

We retain analytics, diagnostics, and purchase records only for as long as reasonably needed to operate Pivit, investigate reliability or fraud, meet legal obligations, and support purchases. Retention settings are reviewed with our service providers before public release.

Pivit uses platform security controls, access control, encryption, and data minimization, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. Deleting the app removes its local container; iCloud data, purchase history held by Apple, and previously received diagnostic records are managed separately.

To ask about access, correction, deletion, or another privacy right, email [email protected]. We may need information sufficient to verify and service the request, but do not ask for browsing history or passwords.

7. Children and international use

Pivit is an unrestricted web browser and is not directed to children. The App Store age rating may vary by region and operating-system version. If local law requires parental consent for a user, the parent or guardian is responsible for providing it.

Data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate contractual and legal safeguards for international transfers.

8. Changes and contact

We will update this policy when Pivit’s data practices change and revise the effective date. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this site when required.
